This school year marks the implementation of State of California legislation, AB9, AB746 and AB1156, which updates the education code regarding sanctions against bullying.

Join local author, speaker, journalist, and mother of two grown sons, Joanna Jullien, who conducts research and fieldwork about the impact of texting and social media on family, peer and community relations. Her book, The Authority In Me: The Power of Family Life in the Network Culture, examines how mustard seeds of faith strengthen the role of parents to help children find peace in a cyber-powered world.

Joanna ( and her husband have raised two sons in Roseville, CA. She has a degree from U.C. Berkeley in Social Anthropology (corporate culture). Her honors thesis was awarded the Kroeber Prize and funding from National Science Foundation grant. Joanna writes to help parents with the modern-day leadership challenges of raising children.
